The local air pollution agency says I can’t sell my old wood stove to help pay for an EPA-certified wood stove.  Why is that?
Replacing an older stove with a cleaner-burning stove will not improve air quality if the older stove is reused somewhere else.  For this reason, wood stove  programs usually require older stoves to be destroyed and recycled as scrap metal, or rendered inoperable.
Start fires only with newspaper and dry kindling. Never start a fire with gasoline, kerosene, charcoal starter, or a propane torch.
Do not burn wet or green (unseasoned) logs

Wood burns best when the moisture content is less than 20 percent. You can purchase a wood moisture meter to test the moisture content of your wood before you burn it..
Does it matter what people burn in hydronic heaters?
Yes! Use of the wrong fuels in a hydronic heater can decrease the efficiency of your heater, increase pollution, and sometimes can be dangerous. If you have a hydronic heater, only use fuels recommended by the manufacturer – such as seasoned, untreated wood.
Season all firewood. All firewood should be split, securely covered or stored, and aged for at least six months. Seasoned wood burns hotter, cuts fuel consumption and reduces the
amount of smoke your appliance produces.
Choose the right firewood. Hardwoods are the best. Never burn trash or treated wood which can emit toxic air pollutants.
Start it right. Use only clean newspaper or dry kindling to start a fire. Never use gasoline, kerosene, charcoal starter, or a propane torch.
Size matters. Choose the right-sized appliance for your needs. If your woodburning appliance is too big for your room or house, the fuel will smolder and create more air
pollution.

Can produce up to 500,000 BTU's per hour on a continual basis.
This furnace burning dry split cured oak and using 50,000 BTU's per hour will need to be loaded every 38.9. hours.
This furnace burning dry split cured oak and using 100,000 BTU's per hour will require loading every 18.9 hours.
This furnace burning dry split cured oak and using 150,000 BTU's per hour will require loading every 12 hours

FACTS:
Our furnace was designed to have lower emissions and be far more efficient than the old outdoor wood boilers which in turn allows for far less wood usage!
Burning wood clean and efficiently is a science not an art.
Our combustion uses a turbo-sized forced air draft with the air forced in below the grates like a forge.  Enhancing the 1100 degree temperature of the coal bed to get an air temp above  the 850 degrees needed to combust the gasses in the firebox!  (Air forced in above the grates like most outdoor wood boilers use, cools the fire and has no comparison to a forge!!  Burning of the gasses gives an additional 1/3 more heat as well as cleaning up the emissions.
Burning dry wood allows full use of the woods' heat whereas green wood uses 1/3 of the heat just to dry the wood!!
Dry wood uses free wind and solar to drive the moisture out of it not energy produced from the wood!
Dry wood eliminates the corrosion of the fire box associated with green wood burners.
Burning dry split cured wood almost eliminates creosote as it is burned up in the secondary burn of the gasses and is utilized as heat energy!
Burning dry split cured wood will eliminate the majority of the smokey emissions associated with outdoor wood boilers.
