Unger Brothers Sterling Silver Sitting Bull Indian Chief Complete Belt

This is an AMAZING belt. It is designed and crafted by Unger Brothers (Unger Bros). The belt is made completely of sterling silver hallmarked and tested. Unger brothers did this rendition modeled after Sitting Bull. It is fabulous and very special. The center is an impressive size with graduating conchos to the clasp. Each piece is hallmarked with the Unger Brothers cartouche. This belt features 5 pieces along with the connecting chains. The Pieces are connected to one another by a soldered jump rings on the back which is then connected to a chain. The clasp is two sitting bulls a little off-center, by design. The condition of the belt is lovely with a very rich patina. I am sure it will polish up without issues, but that is up to the new caretaker. The backsides appear to have a anti-tarnish coating that is a bit worn. The front-facing three large conchos are in perfect condition with normal wear. The buckle features a miniature casting of sitting bull, one appears to have a slight depression at the cheek. This is a fabulous piece of cross history, not only from a very important Native American Model, Sitting Bull, but also from an iconic SilverSmith Company, Unger Brothers.
