    Description

    Western Great Lakes abstract floral beaded wall pocket, of Wisconsin make, probably by local Menominee, Winnebago or Potawatomi artist. Pocket dates from c. 1865 to 1890 and falls in the category of early items that were made for Native home use or sold to early day travellers. Great old italian stock beads use with classic colors of white hearts red, greasy yellow, translucent dark green and chalk white. Outside white beads outline missing on some parts of perimeter but could easily be restored.
